Cats Go Ape

On Sunday the 2nd of August the Cougar Cats went to Go Ape, in Alice Holt forest near Farnborough. For those who don’t know this is a course of obstacles suspended in trees.

After signing our lives away and having our harnesses fitted we split into small groups to go round the courses.

The first of the 5 sites was just to learn how to attach ourselves safely. We met with our guide who introduced herself and asked what we did. She hadn’t heard of cougar.

For those of us who were slightly wary of being 30ft in the air on a rope the course was a challenge in itself, though we all made it round encouraged and supported by friends.

For the rest extra challenges were created such as completing obstacles with no hands and races.

Having made our way round the course we were awarded with stickers (!!) and a BBQ/

The day was a fantastic way of getting to know our fellow cats better and have a lot of fun.
