Cougar Automation named Business of the Year

Cougar Automation was named Royal Bank of Scotland Business of the Year 2007 at a glittering awards ceremony at the Winchester Guild Hall. The award was made to Cougar Automation by Gordon Warren, Senior Commercial Manager at RBS, in front of 300 guests at the Winchester Business Excellence Awards.

The aim of the award judges was to find a dynamic company demonstrating excellence in all aspects of business performance. These included sound financial and business planning, success in overcoming challenges, a clear relationship between marketing strategy and the development of the business and a clear plan for future growth.

Lead judge Gordon Warren of RBS said that 'what differentiated the Cats from Cougar were the energy, enthusiasm, and relentless focus on customer service that is now embedded as a culture within their business. The empowerment that is given to (and grasped by) anyone working for the company to project manage customer improvements from initial idea right the way through to implementation was also self-evident. This culture is elusive to most and very hard to achieve, but when it is the results are tangible... happy staff, very satisfied customers, and new business providing stronger profit and cash-flow.'.
