Each year, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) honours with Gold Award status those organisations that have achieved a very high level of performance, demonstrating well-developed occupational health-and-safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk, and very low levels of error, harm and loss.

On 20th June 2017 at the ExCel in London, Cougar Automation’s Company Leader Derek Burton collected the RoSPA President’s Award.  The President’s Award is presented to an organisation that has acheived 10 to 14 consecutive Gold Awards (we received our 14th this year). It was a proud day for all of us at Cougar.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said, “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat.”

Company Leader Derek Burton receives the RoSPA President’s Award on behalf of Cougar Automation.

“This internationally recognised award provides Cougar with the opportunity to prove our ongoing commitment to raising standards and our sensible and proportionate approach to managing risk in the workplace,” says Derek. “These form an integral part of our business practice.

“With sustained effort, we will aim for our 15th Gold Award next year which is recognised by RoSPA as the Order of Distinction.”
