SHEQ Coordinator, Christine Hiskey, receives the RoSPA’s Award of Distinction on behalf of Cougar Automation from Errol Taylor, RoSPA Chief Executive.

Each year, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) honours with Gold Award status those organisations that demonstrate well-developed occupational health-and-safety management systems and culture, outstanding control of risk, and very low levels of error, harm and loss.

On 18th June 2019 at the ExCel in London, our Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Coordinator Christine Hiskey collected the RoSPA Order of Distinction Award on behalf of the Cougar Automation team.  The Order of Distinction is presented to an organisation that has achieved a minimum of 15 years of consecutive Gold Awards (we received our 16th this year). It was a proud day for all of us at Cougar.

Julia Small, RoSPA’s head of awards and events, said, “The RoSPA Awards are the most prestigious in the world of occupational health and safety, and held in high regard around the world, as winning one demonstrates an organisation’s commitment to maintaining an excellent health and safety record. Achieving the standard required is no mean feat.”

Derek Burton, Business Unit General Manager, says, “Achieving a gold standard for 16 years is a testament to the ongoing efforts and dedication of the entire Cougar Automation team.”
